    Garlic Cabbage Over Noodles

    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 small head cabbage, julienned
    1 lg. onion, julienned
    6 cloves of garlic finely minced
    4 cups beef broth
    2 T soy sauce
    1/2 t ground ginger
    1/4 t red pepper
    2 T corn starch
    1/2 cup cold water
    8 cups, cooked noodles (I prefer extra wide)
    ground white pepper

    Recipe



    Brown ground beef half way in a covered Dutch oven and drain off the grease. Add the garlic, red pepper and ginger and finish browning.

    Put the cabbage and onion in the pot and pour the broth over it. Add the soy sauce, cover and simmer on medium heat until the cabbage is a little more than crisp/tender. Add the corn starch to the water and stir into the cabbage mixture. Heat on medium heat stirring until the mixture thickens slightly.

    Serve over noodles with more soy sauce and white pepper if desired.
