    Glazed Ham Loaf &/or Pineapple Glazed Ham Balls (Foodguy's wife)

    List of Ingredients

    2 lbs. ground ham
    1 lb. ground pork
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    2 eggs
    1 cup finely crushed saltine crackers (about 30 squares)
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1 cup milk

    Mix well and shape into a loaf in a shallow pan. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. Drain off any accumulated fat, pour glaze over loaf and continue baking 30 minutes.

    Ham Loaf Glaze

    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
    3 Tablespoons cider vinegar
    2 Tablespoons water

    Mix until combined.


    Recipe

    Pineapple Glazed Ham Balls

    Follow recipe for Glazed Ham Loaf, using only 1/2 cup milk, rather than the full cup. Form mixture into balls. (We use 1/4 cup ice cream scoop to measure) Place about 1” apart on a shallow baking pan. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Pour off accumulated fat. Pour Pineapple Glaze over meat balls and continue baking 30 minutes.

    Pineapple Ham Ball Glaze

    1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, in its own juice
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    3 Tablespoons cider vinegar
    1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard

    Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until combined into a smooth sauce.

    Hints:
    We line our baking pans with foil and spray with Pam for easy clean up.

    The Ham Ball recipe yields about 20 balls.
