CRUNCHY TOSSED SALAD

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
2 T. vinegar
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
1 head lettuce, sliced
6 bacon strips, fried and crumbled
1/2 cup toasted, sliced almonds
4 green onions, sliced
3/4 cup chow mein noodlesRecipe
In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the first 5 ingredients. Shake well. Chill for at least one hour.
Combine the lettuce and green onion in a big serving bowl. Just before serving, add remaining ingredients and dressing. Toss well.
