BAKED CHEESE SANDWICHES

slices of firm white bread to cover a 9x13 pan, about 6-8
3/4 c. dry white wine
1/2 t. grated nutmeg
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. grated Swiss Cheese
3 T. butter or margarineRecipe
Place bread slices in a lightly buttered 9x13 pan to cover the bottom. Spoon wine over bread; allow it to soak in. Add nutmeg and cheese to beaten eggs and blend well. Spread over bread. Dot with butter and bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is golden and bubbly. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
