    List of Ingredients




    8 large biscuits (large refrigerated ones work well)
    1/2 pound ground meat (can use beef, chicken, or turkey)
    1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
    1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
    1/2 cup tomato sauce
    1/2 cup whole kernel corn
    1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 egg, lightly beaten

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375�F.

    Brown ground meat with onion and salt, if using. Drain off fat.

    Add next four ingredients to meat, stirring well to incorporate ingredients.

    Pat out biscuits to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thickness and put a large spoonful of meat mixture on each biscuit. Brush biscuit edges with egg and fold biscuit in half like you would a turnover. Crimp the edges to seal with a fork.

    Place empanadas on cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes.
