Creamy Potatoes and Ham

1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion
3 cups water
1 (7.8-oz.) pkg. cheesy scalloped potato mix
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups diced cooked ham (8 oz.)
1 cup frozen sweet peas
1/2 cup sour cream
Recipe
Melt margarine in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender.
Add water; bring to a boil. Add potatoes; return to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add milk and contents of sauce packet from potatoes; mix well. Stir in ham, peas and sour cream until well mixed. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes or until sauce is of desired consistency and peas are tender, stirring occasionally.
