Cook macaroni about 5 min. in boiling water. Drain well & let dry on paper towel.
If you have a fry daddy, fill with oil & let heat up. When oil is hot (375º) put a little macaroni in the oil. Do this slowly so the oil doesn't boil over.
When macaroni is golden brown, pour out on paper towel to drain grease.
Salt & break apart.
When cooled store in airtight container.
You can use other seasonings if you would like: onion powder, garlic salt, chili powder, cajun spice, etc.
Posted by: candykisses_Oklahoma: I like to cook the macaroni up ahead of time, run cold water over it, drizzle with a little canola oil and put in a ziplock. Then I fry on another day. I have been making this ever since I was early teens. Maybe even starting as early as ten. I know it sounds unusual, but it is very good.
