    Absolutely delicious. This hearty soup will warm you down to your toes, and will completely comfort you! This is great for work or school lunches.

    List of Ingredients




    7 cups water
    3 cans (10 1/2 ounces each) condensed beef broth
    1 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
    4 medium carrots, sliced
    1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1 cup quick-cooking pearl barley

    Recipe



    1. In a soup pot, combine all the ingredients except the barley; cover and bring to a boil over high heat.

    2. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    3. Add the barley and simmer for 15 to 20 more minutes, or until the barley is tender.

    Serving: 10 to 12
    Prep Time: 15 minutes
    Cook Time: 50 minutes
    Total Time: 65 minutes
