1/2 C. WATER
1 1/2 C. MILK
1/4 TSP. VANILLA EXTRACT

IN A HEAVY BOTTOMED SAUCE PAN, STIR TOGETHER COCOA, SUGAR
AND CORNSTARCH. SLOWLY STIR IN THE WATER. SET ON LOW HEAT AND STIR IN THE MILK. COOK, STIRRING OFTEN UNTIL MIXTURE IS THICK AND COATS THE BACK OF A SPOON. TOP WITH WHIPPED CREAM OR MARSHMALLOWS.
FOR ITALIAN MOCOA, SUBSTITUTE ESPRESSO FOR THE WATER.
