1/2 C. MILK
1 EGG
1/2 TSP. VANILLA
1 C. FLOUR
1 1/2 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1/2 C. SUGAR
1/4 TSP. SALT
TOPPING:
2 TBSP. BUTTER, MELTED
1/2 C. FINELY CHOPPED WALNUTS
1/4 C. FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
2 TSP. FLOUR
1 TSP. CINNAMONRecipe
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. MELT SHORTENING OR BUTTER IN AN 8 INCH SQUARE PAN. ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS, STIR WITH A FORK UNTIL SMOOTH. COMBINE TOPPING INGREDIENTS AND SPRINKLE ON TOP. BAKE FOR 30-35 MINUTES UNTIL CAKE SPRINGS BACK.
