I USED TO MAKE THIS FOR THE GIRLS WHEN I WAS THE COOK AT DOMINICAN HIGH SCHOOL FOR GIRLS IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN.
List of Ingredients
9 C. ELBOW MACARONI (UNCOOKED)
HEAT TOGETHER:
1 QUART MILK (MADE WITH DRY POWDERED MILK)
1/2 STICK MARGARINE
3/4 LB. AMERICAN CHEESE, GRATED
3/4 LB. CHEDDAR CHEESE (EXTRA SHARP), GRATED
FOR TOPPING:
3/4 LB. AMERICAN CHEESE, GRATED
COOK MACARONI. RINSE WITH COLD WATER. DRAIN WELL. MIX NEXT 4 INGREDIENTS TOGETHER IN A SAUCEPAN. MELT CHEESES IN MILK AND MARGARINE. MIX LIQUID MIXTURE WITH MACARONI. PUT IN 2 (9X13 INCH) PANS SPRAYED WITH PAM. SPRINKLE 3/4 LB. AMERICAN CHEESE ON TOP. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES ABOUT 40 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR UNTIL BROWNED ON TOP.
