1 C. SALAD OIL
2 TSP. COARSELY GROUND PEPPR
3/4 C. SOY SAUCE
2 CLOVES GARLIC, CRUSHED OR FINELY CHOPPED
1/2 C. LEMON JUICE
1/4 C. WORCESTERSHIRE
3 TBSP. PREPARED YELLOW MUSTARD
2 LBS. LEAN BEEF (CHUCK OR ROUND STEAK), CUT UP INTO CHUNKSRecipe
MIX ALL ABOVE INGREDIENTS, EXCEPT BEEF, IN GLASS DISH. PLACE BEEF CHUNKS IN AND MIX WELL, MAKING SURE ALL PIECES ARE THOROUGHLY COATED. PLACE IN REFRIGERATOR 24-36 HOURS, STIRRING AT LEAST ONCE TO RECOAT ALL PIECES.
WHEN READY TO USE, DRAIN THE MARINADE AND PLACE BEEF CHUNKS IN LARGE BOWL. OFFER BEEF FOR SHISH KEBOB, ALONG WITH VEGETABLE PIECES. MARINADE CAN ALSO BE USED FOR FLANK STEAK.
FOR ROAST: MARINATE SAME AS FOR SHISH KEBOB. PLACE ROAST ON GRILL AND ROAST 1 1/2 HOURS FOR A 4-LB. ROAST.
