Peanut Butter Frosting Fudge

1/4 lb. butter or margarine
1(12oz) pkg. peanut butter chips
1/4 c. peanut butter
1(1lb.) carton vanilla frostingRecipe
In a medium saucepan over low heat, stir butter and chips together until melted and smooth. Stir in peanut butter just until thoroughly blended into mixture,remove from heat at once so not to scorch. With electric mixer beat frosting until smooth. Spread evenly in Pam sprayed 9-inch square pan and cover with plastic wrap. Chill until firm enough to cut, which takes several hours or overnight. For chocolate fudge: Use 1(12oz.) package of chocolate chips and 1(1lb.) tub of chocolate frosting and 1/4 pound butter. Omit peanut butter.
