German Chocolate Sauerkraut Cake

2/3 C. butter or margarine
1 1/3 C. gran. sugar
3 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1/2 C. cocoa
2 1/4 C. all purpose flour
1 t. baking powder
3/4 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1 1/4 C. water
2/3 C. drained and chopped sauerkrautRecipe
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 1 9x13 or 2 8inch pans.
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Sift together cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Alternately add water and egg mixture. Stir in sauerkraut. Pour batter into pans.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Frost with your favorite frosting.
