    Mock Pecan Pie

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 C Grape Nuts cereal
    1/2 C lukewarm water
    1 C brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 C corn syrup
    1/4 C margarine
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/8 t. salt
    1 t. vanilla
    1 9 inch pie shell

    Recipe



    Soak Grape Nuts in water until absorbed. Combine sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt in a saucepan. Bring quickly to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Beat eggs. Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs, beating well. Add remaining syrup. Stir in cereal and vanilla. Pour into unbaked 9 inch pie shell and bake at 375* for 45-50 minutes.
