Mexican Cornbread

List of Ingredients
- 1 c, cornmeal
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 can cream corn
- Dash hot sauce
- 1/4 c. bacon fat
- 1/4 c. minced green onions with tops
- 1/2 c. shredded cheddar
Instructions
- Combine 1st five things in a bow. Set aside.
- In another bowl combine buttermilk and egg. Add corn and remaining things. Pour over dry ingredients and stir.
- Do not overmix. Pour batter in greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 400 degrees 35 min. Cool 5 min.
