- 3 c flour
- 1 1/4 c shortening - Crisco
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c water
- 1 T cider vinegar
Instructions
- In large bowl, cut shortening into flour and salt.
- In a smaller bowl, slightly beat egg and add water and vinegar.
- Stir this mixture into the flour with fork until moistened.
- Using hands, form into 3 balls. Do not overmix.
- Refrigerate 1/2 hr. before rolling out on floured surface.
- Dough can be kept in refrigerator several days before using.
- Rolled out unbaked crusts can be frozen.
