    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe came from the Busy Corner restaurant in Goodfield, Illinois.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 2 cups whipping cream
    • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
    • 1 pkg. Devils Food cake mix
    • 1 1/4 cups water
    • 1/3 cup oil
    • 3 eggs


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter; add brown sugar & stir until dissolved.
    2. Add 1/4 cup whipping cream & pecans.
    3. Divide into 2 round cake pans and set aside.
    4. Beat cake mix, water, oil & eggs for 2 minutes on low, then 2 minutes on high speed.
    5. Spoon batter over praline mixture.
    6. Bake @ 325 degrees for 35 minutes or until done. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.
    7. Whip remaining whipping cream and add powdered sugar & vanilla.
    8. Spread whipping cream between layers (praline sides up)and on top of cake.
    9. Cover and refrigerate.


    Final Comments


    Garnish with chocolate curls or nuts, if desired.
