    This recipe came from Doris Hughes, a co-worker.


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup Hersheys cocoa
    • 3 cups sugar
    • 1 1/2 cup Carnation Evaporated Milk
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1/2 stick butter
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • walnuts, if desired


    Instructions


    1. In pan on stove, mix cocoa and sugar.
    2. Slowly add evaporated milk, 1/2 at a time, and salt.
    3. Bring to a boil and cook to a soft ball stage.
    4. Add butter and vanilla.
    5. Mix in mixer on high speed until smooth.
    6. Cool a little and add nuts, if desired.
    7. Spread on buttered cookie sheet.
