    This recipe came from a magazine. They are colorful cookies; especially pretty for the holidays.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 egg
    • 2 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 cup pecan halves
    • 1 cup green candied cherries
    • 1 cup red candied cherries


    Instructions


    1. Mix first 5 ingredients; stir in nuts and cherries.
    2. Shape into two long rolls.
    3. Wrap in waxed paper.
    4. Refrigerate for three hours.
    5. Cut into 1/8th inch slices.
    6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet @ 350 degrees until lightly browned.


    Final Comments


    This is a tasty butter cookie; good at Christmas time.
