    Peach Preserves

    Nannie's friend Alverta Soltwedel from Country Life

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups peeled, chopped peaches
    • 3 cups sugar
    • 1/4 cup lemon juice
    • 2 - 3 T chopped Marachino cherries


    Instructions


    1. Bring peaches and sugar to a boil.

    2. Boil 10 minutes or more over medium heat until thick, stirring occasionally, especially towards the end.

    3. Skim off foam.

    4. Add lemon juice & cherries.

    5. Bring to a second boil.

    6. Let stand until plump.

    7. Seal in jars or refrigerat.



    Final Comments


    Nannie & Cheryl also love this recipe, especially on peanut butter toast.
