    Recipe Introduction


    Nannie is very fond of carmel and thinks about this recipe every fall.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 can Eagle Brand (1 1/3 cups)
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
    • pinch salt
    • apples
    • wooden sticks


    Instructions


    1. Insert sticks into clean apples.
    2. Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil point, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
    3. Remove from heat.
    4. Dip apples in carmel.
    5. Cool apples on waxed paper or foil.


    Final Comments


    You can also refrigerate carmel and use later to dip apple slices. Just warm carmel in the microwave.
