    Recipe Introduction


    Nannie has made this delicious carmel corn for over 30 years. It makes a wonderful snack.


    List of Ingredients


    • 7 quarts unsalted popped corn
    • 1 lb. brown sugar
    • 2 sticks butter
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
    • 1 tsp. baking soda


    Instructions


    1. Bring brown sugar, butter, salt & syrup to a boil.
    2. Add baking soda & stir.
    3. Pour over popcorn.
    4. Spread on cookie sheets and bake 1 hour 225 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.
    5. Cool.
    6. Store in tight containers.


    Final Comments


    Nannie likes to add nuts before baking.
