Recipe Introduction
Nannie has made this delicious carmel corn for over 30 years. It makes a wonderful snack.
List of Ingredients
- 7 quarts unsalted popped corn
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Instructions
- Bring brown sugar, butter, salt & syrup to a boil.
- Add baking soda & stir.
- Pour over popcorn.
- Spread on cookie sheets and bake 1 hour 225 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Cool.
- Store in tight containers.
Final Comments
Nannie likes to add nuts before baking.
