    Tuna Noodle Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 large can of fancy white albacore packed in spring water, drained
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, cleaned and chopped
    • 1 large shallot, chopped
    • 3/4 cup butter
    • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 soup can of half and half
    • 1 box frozen pes, thawed and drained
    • 1 large jar pimentos, drained
    • 10 slices white bread torn into bite-sized pieces
    • 16 oz curly egg noodles


    Instructions


    1. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a medium-sized skillet over medium heat. Saute mushrooms and shallot, being careful not to burn the shallot and turn it bitter.

    2. Cook noodles in boiling salted water. Drain well.

    3. Melt remianing 1/2 cup butter in a large skillet and saute torn bread pieces making sure all of the bread has butter on it.

    4. Mix all ingreadients except the bread pieces.

    5. Pour mixture into a buttered 9x13 baking dish. Top with the buttered bread pieces.

    6. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
