Black Russian Brownies

- 4 Squares bittersweet chocolate
- 1 Cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 1/2 Cups granulated sugar
- 2 Tbl vodka
- 1/3 Cup coffee flavored liquer
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 Cups flour, sifted
- 1 Cup toasted walnut pieces
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 9x13" baking pan with buttered wax paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate in microwave & allow to cool. Add pepper to butter mixture.
- Cream sugar and eggs until mixture is light and lemon colored. Pour in butter/chocolate mixture and vanilla. Mix on medium speed until combined.
- Add coffee flavored liquer and vodka. Mix.
- Sift dry ingredients and add to batter. Stir until just combined.
- Stir in nuts.
- Bake at 350 dregrees 25-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- Cool on wire rack. When cool turn out of pan & remove wax paper. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container.
