Apple Crisp

List of Ingredients
- 3 lb Jonathan or similar apples
- 2 Tbl lemon juice
- 6 Tbl granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- TOPPING
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups uncooked quick cooking oats
- 2/3 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon (more if desired)
- 1 tsp salt (scant)
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Butter 9x13 baking dish.
- Peel, core and slice apples. Mix with granulated and brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and lemon juice.
- Place apples in even layer into prepared pan.
- To prepare topping put remaining dry ingredients into a large bowl. Add melted butter and stir to incorporate butter into dry ingredients.
- Place topping onto prepared apples.
- Bake 30-35 minutes.
