    Apple Crisp

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 lb Jonathan or similar apples
    • 2 Tbl lemon juice
    • 6 Tbl granulated sugar
    • 1/3 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1 tsp grated nutmeg
    • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
    • TOPPING
    • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups uncooked quick cooking oats
    • 2/3 cup melted butter
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
    • 1 tsp cinnamon (more if desired)
    • 1 tsp salt (scant)


    Instructions


    1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Butter 9x13 baking dish.

    2. Peel, core and slice apples. Mix with granulated and brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and lemon juice.

    3. Place apples in even layer into prepared pan.

    4. To prepare topping put remaining dry ingredients into a large bowl. Add melted butter and stir to incorporate butter into dry ingredients.

    5. Place topping onto prepared apples.

    6. Bake 30-35 minutes.
