    Italian Sausage With Peppers & Onions

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb (or more) sweet Italian sausage links
    • 5 large green peppers
    • 5 large red peppers
    • 2 large sweet onions
    • 2 or 3 cloves chopped garlic
    • Olive oil


    Instructions


    1. Seed and slice peppers into 1/2" slices.

    2. Peel and cut onions into thin slices. Cut the slices in half.

    3. Heat olive oil in a large, deep sided skillet. Add peppers and onions, cover and cook until vegetables begin to soften.

    4. Move vegetables aside and add sausages and garlic.

    5. Cover and cook, turning sausages and stirring vegetables occasionally until sausages are brown on all sides and vegetables are tender.

    6. Dip vegetables and sausage from skillet with a large slotted spoon to drain.



    Final Comments


    Makes a great sandwich on a hoagie roll with mustard and a cool beer.
