    Spaghetti Bolognese with Meat Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup finely sliced bacon
    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1/2 lb. ground veal or pork
    • 1-28oz. can tomatoes, cut up
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
    • 1/4 cup snipped flat leaf parsley
    • 1/4 cup tomato paste
    • 1/2 tsp instant chicken boulion ganules
    • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1/2 cup dry white wine
    • 1/3 cup light cream or milk
    • 3/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
    • 1/4 cup water


    Instructions


    1. In large saucepan cook bacon till crisp. Add ground meat, cook until meat is brown. Drain off fat.

    2. Puree undrained tomatoes in blender and add to mixture.

    3. Add onion,carrot, celery, parsley, tomato paste, boulion, nutmeg. 3/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.

    4. Stir in wine and 1/4 cup water. Bring to boil and simmer, uncovered, 1 hr or till desired consistency. Stir occasionally.

    5. Just before serving stir in cream or milk
