Spaghetti Bolognese with Meat Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 1/4 cup finely sliced bacon
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground veal or pork
- 1-28oz. can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/4 cup snipped flat leaf parsley
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp instant chicken boulion ganules
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/3 cup light cream or milk
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In large saucepan cook bacon till crisp. Add ground meat, cook until meat is brown. Drain off fat.
- Puree undrained tomatoes in blender and add to mixture.
- Add onion,carrot, celery, parsley, tomato paste, boulion, nutmeg. 3/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.
- Stir in wine and 1/4 cup water. Bring to boil and simmer, uncovered, 1 hr or till desired consistency. Stir occasionally.
- Just before serving stir in cream or milk
