List of Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 1/3 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg.
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 tbl. melted butter or marg.
Instructions
- Scald 3 cups of milk in top of double boiler.
- Add cornmeal, sugar, spices and salt, molasses and butter.
- Cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 20 min.
- Pour into greased baking dish.
- Add remaninig cup of milk, without stirring.
- Bake about 3 hours. At 350 degrees.
- Serve warm with milk, cream or ice cream.
