List of Ingredients
- 4 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1/4 cup mortons quick cure
- 1 Tbsp. peppercorne
Instructions
- Mix meat with cure salt and store in covered container in the ref. over night.
- The next day mix in the liquid smoke, garlic powder and peppercorne into the meat mixture and mix well.
- Roll the mixture into a log and wrap in cheesecloth.
- Cook for 4 hours at 225 degrees. Turn the meat log over after it has cooked for 2 hours.
- Chill slice and serve.
Final Comments
We love this for sandwiches for Christmas or finger snacks. This is also good for any party or the superbowl.
