    List of Ingredients


    • 4 cups flour
    • 2 tsp. salt
    • 6 Tbsp. lard or shortening
    • 3 Tsp. baking powder
    • 1 to 1 1/4 cups luke warm water


    Instructions


    1. Sift dry ingredients and add shortening, working it into the flour.
    2. Stir in 1 cup water and form into a ball. If necessary use more water.
    3. Knead well on floured board and make balls the size of an egg. Let them stand for 25 minutes, the rool them out with a rolling pin until they are about the size of a plate.
    4. Place on hot un-greased skillet on top of the stove for about 2 min on each side.
