Return to At Home in Cottonwood
9/13/2005
Just wanted to say that I used to be in and about Cottonwood quite a bit during the summers some 30 years ago (mid-70s). Perhaps you can help me, too: I cannot remember the name of the little bar/restaurant at Cottonwood, beside it was a little shop called Dug's Diggings or some such. An American chap owned the restaurant at the time (1974, 75, 76). Could you jog my memory? We used to have claims up at Beaver Pass on the logging road, about 4 or 5 miles in. A man known as 'Old Pat' lived up that way, and a few others. Do you or did you know any of them?
Would much appreciate an answer (even negative) if you have the time. I will be back to note the pot pie and try it out, by the way. Thanks!!
