Maple Nut Bread
Maple is my favorite flavor.This bread is great because it's easy and quick to make.It comes from Gold Medal, my thanks to Terry TX who I owe the recipe booklet to.
List of Ingredients
2-1/4 cups flour
3-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2-1/2 tsp.(original called for 1 tsp.) maple flavor
1 cup half-and-half or half water, half cream
1 egg
3 tbsp. oil
3/4 cup (I use 2 tbsp. less) sugar
1/2 cup chopped nutsRecipe
Mix everything but nuts in a bowl.Beat 30 seconds.Fold in nuts.Pour into greased (bottom only) 8 inch loaf pan.Bake at 350° for 60 minutes.Let cool in pan (on rack) for 10 minutes, turn out of pan, enjoy warm or let cool.Freezes well!
