    submitted by Chris Morgan

    Recipe Introduction

This pretty candy cane studded version of almond bark is perfect for gift giving or snacking. Try chopping it coarsely and adding to softened vanilla, peppermint, or chocolate ice cream for a festive dessert.

    List of Ingredients

2 pounds - chopped white chocolate
12 - large candy canes, coarsely chopped
    1/2 teaspoon - peppermint oil

    Recipe

Line a 11 X 7 inch baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave until smooth. Mix in the candy cane pieces and peppermint oil. Spread the mixture on the
prepared sheet. Chill for 30 minutes. Break into pieces. Serve chilled or at room temperature, but make sure the mixture does not get too warm as it will melt.

15 minutes, plus 30 minutes chilling time

    Makes about 2 pounds

Make Ahead Tips : The candy can be made up to 2 weeks ahead of time and stored in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator.
