Recipe Introduction
I got this recipe from a magazine a few years ago, can't remember from which one though. This is my
all time favorite Apple Crisp recipe and I make it whenever I get the chance. My boys just loves it too.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can use just about any kind of apple and substitute many other fruits. Think about combining several in one crisp.
List of Ingredients
Apple Mixture
5 cups peeled, cored and sliced apples
1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Crumble topping:
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oatsRecipe
1. In a medium size bowl, mix together the apples, flour, sugar and cinnamon and place in an 8 or 9 inch baking pan.
2. Using the same bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, rolled oats and melted butter. Sprinkle the mixture over the fruit, forcing a little down the cracks between the slices of fruit. Pat down gently.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is slightly browned and crisp.
