Basic Fried Rice

List of Ingredients
- 2-3 cups cooked Rice
- 2 slices bacon, reserve grease
- 2-3 tsp. dark soy sauce
- 2-3 tsp. thin soy sauce
- 1-2 green onions-sliced
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. MSG
Instructions
- To cook rice: put 1 cup rice in saucepan. Run cold water over it, stir with hand, drain water off and repeat until water is clear. This removes the starch from rice. Add 1-1 1/2 cups cold water and 1 tsp. salt. Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. DO NOT take lid off until cooking time is done.
- Fry bacon in 10" skillet or wok, on medium heat. Remove bacon from pan - crumble and reserve. Put cooked rice in pan with bacon grease and stir fry - do not stir rice continuously - toss so it won't get mushy. Add soy sauces and MSG. Make a well in center of rice and place one beaten egg, scramble it and toss into rice. Add green onion. Taste for seasoning - serve.
