    List of Ingredients




    2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    ½ teaspoon baking soda
    ½ teaspoon salt
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    1/4 cup buttermilk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup finely chopped ripe pears

    Recipe



    In large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Cut butter into mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

    In small bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients until just moistened. Fold in pears. Spoon into three mini loaves 5x2-1/2x2. Bake 350F for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing
