    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup chopped walnuts
    green or red jelly

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Cream butter and add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and beat well. Add vanilla. Gradually stir in flour and mix until dough is smooth.
    Shape dough into round balls, dip ball into egg white and roll in chopped nuts. Make an indent in the cookie gently and bake for 10-12 minutes.
    Cool on wire rack and fill each indent with a spoonful of desired jam or jelly.
