Five Bean Salad

This recipe was originally a three bean salad, but I added two more kinds of beans. Make ahead the night before. Makes a nice side dish. I use this as part of my holiday menu.
List of Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) green beans, drained
- 1 can (16 oz) wax beans, drained
- 1 can (16 oz) garbanzo or chick peas, drained
- 1 can (16 oz) Black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (16 oz) dark or light kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a large salad bowl or casserole dish, combine all of the beans, green pepper and onions.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Stir until all the sugar dissolves. Pour over the bean mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, stirring several times.
