    STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 lrg. green peppers that sit upright steadily
    • 1 lb. hamburger
    • 2 Tbsp chopped onion
    • 1 tso salt
    • 1/8 tsp garlic salt
    • 1 c cooked rice
    • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
    • 3/4 c Mozzarella cheese


    Instructions


    1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add all peppers and boil for 5 min. Remove and place in cool water to stop cooking process.
    2. Brown hamburger and onion until meat is well cooked and onion tender. Drain off fat. Stir in seasonings and rice. Add 1 c of the tomato sauce and heat through.
    3. Lightly stuff each pepper with meat mixture. Stand pepper upright in ungreased casserole. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers, cover, and bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. Uncover, sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top of each pepper, and continue baking 15 min. longer.
