    Syrup Biscuits (Canada Mixture)

    These were the number one favourite. I don't know where the title of Canada Mixture came from, but they were always Syrup Biscuits to me.


    List of Ingredients


    • 6 oz flour
    • 2 oz butter
    • 2 oz sugar
    • one and a half tablespoons of syrup
    • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
    • pinch of salt (if desired)


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter and sugar. Warm syrup and add. Add flour, ginger and salt, and 2 dessertpoons of warm water. Mix thoroughly.
    2. Shape into biscuits on a baking tray. (They are better if at least a quarter of an inch thick).
    3. Cook at 350 deg. fahrenheit till brown
