Syrup Biscuits (Canada Mixture)

Recipe Introduction
These were the number one favourite. I don't know where the title of Canada Mixture came from, but they were always Syrup Biscuits to me.
List of Ingredients
- 6 oz flour
- 2 oz butter
- 2 oz sugar
- one and a half tablespoons of syrup
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- pinch of salt (if desired)
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar. Warm syrup and add. Add flour, ginger and salt, and 2 dessertpoons of warm water. Mix thoroughly.
- Shape into biscuits on a baking tray. (They are better if at least a quarter of an inch thick).
- Cook at 350 deg. fahrenheit till brown
