    List of Ingredients


    • 1- cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/3 cup white sugar
    • 1/2 cup butter , softened
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1 cup chipped walnuts
    • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, Grease a 9 inch square pan.
    2. Mix 1 cup flour,white sugar and butter by hand. Pat into pan. Bake 8-10 minutes.
    3. With a whisk, beat 2 eggs. Whisk in brown sugar then add 1/4 cup flour and baking powder. Stir in nuts and cherries. Pour over baked crust.
    4. Bake for 20-25 minutes more.
