    A cookout favorite for family get-togethers.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 sticks margrine
    • 1 cup water
    • 4 Tbls cocoa
    • 1/2 cup buttermilk
    • 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • ----
    • Icing
    • ---
    • 1 stick margrine
    • 1Tbls cocoa
    • 5 Tbls milk
    • powdered surgar


    Instructions


    1. Sift flour and sugar into a large mixing bowl, set aside. In a small sauce pan, mix margrine, water, and cocoa together. Bring to a rapid boil and pour over sugar and flour. Mix well with electric mixer. Add butter milk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla; mix well and pour in a greased and floured 18x12 inch sheet pan.
    2. Bake 20 minutes @ 350 degrees F.
    3. For icing, in a small saucepan, combine margrine, cocca, and milk. Bring to a boil, remove from heat. Add enough powdered sugar to get a smooth icing texture. Ice cake while hot.
