    1 3/4 cup sugar
    8 Cups water
    1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice

    In a small pan, combine the sugar and 1 cup of water. bring to a boil, remove from heat and let cool at room temperature. After it has cooled, refrigerate until chilled. Add lemon juice and the rest of the water.
