    1 jar (12 ounces) cherry preserves
    1/2 cup raisins
    1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 cups Bisquick baking mix
    2 tablespoons granulated sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 cup milk
    Easy Icing (see below)

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease baking pan, 9x9x2 inches. Spread
    preserves in bottom of pan. In small bowl, stir together raisins,
    brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside. Mix remaining ingredients.

    Beat vigorously 1/2 minute.
    Spread batter evenly over preserves; sprinkle with brown sugar
    mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. While warm, drizzle with icing.

    Easy Icing
    Mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon water or milk and 1/4
    teaspoon vanilla until smooth.
    Variation:
    Cherry Nut Coffee Cake
    Substitute 1/2 cup chopped nuts for the raisins.
    Makes 9 to 12 servings.
