    1 cup margarine
    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    1 (10 ounce) jar Kraft Strawberry, Raspberry or Blackberry
    Preserves
    4 eggs
    2 1/2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon cloves
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
    Brown Sugar Frosting (see below)
    Powdered sugar

    Recipe



    Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in
    preserves and eggs. Add combined dry ingredients to creamed
    mixture, alternately with buttermilk, mixing well after each
    addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into three greased and floured
    9 inch layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35
    minutes.

    Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans. Fill and frost sides
    with Brown Sugar Frosting. Sift powdered sugar over top of cake.

    Brown Sugar Frosting

    Combine 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup margarine and 1/4 cup
    milk; bring to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool
    10 minutes. Gradually add 3 cups sifted powdered sugar, beating
    until well blended.
