    • 1 POUND DRIED BLACKEYED PEAS
    • 1 ONION
    • 2 BAY LEAVES
    • SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
    • WATER
    • 1 POUND FROZEN OKRA
    • 2 HAM HOCKS


    Instructions


    1. COVER PEAS WITH COLD WATER AND SOAK OVERNIGHT.

    2. DRAIN THE PEAS.

    3. PUT PEAS, ONION, AND HOCKS IN THE CROCKPOT AND COVER WITH WATER

    4. ADD BAY LEAVES AND SALT AND PEPPER

    5. COOK ON LOW FOR 6 HOURS.

    6. ADD THE OKRA AND CONTINUE TO COOK ON LOW FOR 2 MORE HOURS.
