    1/4 cup butter, melted
    1 1/2 cup dry bread cubes.
    4-5 cups apple slices
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    1/3 cup water

    Recipe



    Mix melted butter with bread.
    Mix the apples with sugar, cinnamon and salt.
    Put 1/3 of the bread cubes in the bottom of the casserole dish.
    Cover with half the apples.
    Do another layer, and use the remaining bread for the top.
    Mix lemon juice and water then pour over the top.
    Cover with foil and Bake at 30 minutes.
    Uncover, bake 30 minutes more.


    Preheat oven to 350- grease a brownie tin
    3 cups dried bread crumbs
    3 cups peeled and sliced apples.
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup white sugar
    4 Tbsp butter
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp cinnamon

    Mix sugars and spices.
    Cover the bottom of a baking dish with 1 cup bread crumbs.
    Cover the bread crumbs with 1 cup apples.
    Sprinkle apples with sugar mixture, and dot with 1 Tbsp of
    butter.
    Repeat these steps,and pour the water over the final apple layer.

    Top with remaining breadcrumbs and butter.
    Cover and bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes, removing the foil the
    last 30
