    • 3 POUNDS BEEF BRISKET
    • COCA COLA TO COVER
    • 2 ONIONS, THINLY SLICED
    • 1 PKG. DRY ONION SOUP MIX
    • 2 BAY LEAVES
    • OIL


    Instructions


    1. SOAK THE BRISKET IN COKE OVERNIGHT.
    2. PUT ENOUGH OIL IN THE BOTTOM OF A DUTCH OVEN TO JUST COVER THE BOTTOM. BROWN THE BRISKET IN THE OIL OVER HIGH HEAT. REDUCE THE HEAT AND ADD SLICED ONIONS AND SOUP MIX, BAY LEAVES AND AN INCH OR SO OF WATER.COOK, COVERED ON LOW HEAT FOR 2 HOURS. CHECK EVERY 20 MINUTES AND ADD WATER AS NEEDED.
