4-5 rib roast
kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme
crushed garlic
melted butter
Recipe
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Rub the meat with kosher salt, black pepper, thyme and garlic. Place roast, bone side down, in a shallow roasting pan. Roast for 35-40 minutes. Baste 2 times with melted butter. DECREASE OVEN TEMP TO 325 degrees. Roast for 30 more minutes. Place meat thermometer in roast. Baste with juices every 30 minutes. Allow approx. 12-14 minutes cooking time per lb. Remove roast when temp is 125 degrees. Allow it to rest 15 minutes before you carve it.
